How Angelina and Natalie remember Irrfan

Even as audiences in Bollywood apart from actors and filmmakers from the fraternity are taking actor Irrfan Khan’s death as a personal loss, Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman not only remembered Khan and his cinematic offerings, but also sent across personal messages to the family of the deceased actor.
In the Michael Winterbottom helmed film A Mighty Heart, Angelina essayed the character of Mariane Pearl, widow of journalist Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped and later killed by terrorists. Irrfan was seen playing the role of Karachi police chief Zeeshan Kazmi in the film. Angelina in an interview to the British Broadcasting Corporation remembered his contribution. “He stood out for his generosity as an artiste, which made it a pleasure to work in any scene with him. I remember the intensity of his commitment, and equally his smile. I send my condolences and my sympathy to his family, his friends, and all admirers of his work, in India and around the world,” expressed Angelina.
Natalia took to Instagram to post her picture with Irrfan from the Mira Nair’s segment of the anthology film New York, I Love You stating, “Sending love to Irrfan Khan’s loved ones today.”
Irrfan who has been battling cancer for a while died of complications due to a colon infection in Mumbai last week. Apart from Bollywood films like Maqbool, Pan Singh Tomar, Hindi Medium and Piku, Irrfan has also worked in Hollywood films like The Life Of Pi, The Amazing Spiderman, Jurrasic World and Puzzle among others.
